Health Centre IIUM Kuantan


Salam to all my friends. Do you realize that IIUM Kuantan has already set up a new health centre located at the ground floor CF Sister (Old Café).

I have my own experience having a treatment at the clinic. The doctor was very friendly but the receptionist (nurse kot) was less friendly. Maybe she.... ehem :P

Back to the main objective of the writing. What I want to share with all of you is the operation hour of the clinic as following:

Monday – Thursday : 8am to 1pm & 2pm to 5pm

Friday : 8am to 1215pm & 245pm to 5pm

Khames..After class

Lepas kelas ari tuh, our batch leader, well korang tau la sape kann..had called 3 heads of class committee; special programme, entrepreneur and sport for a meeting together with the assistants. Nak tau ape yg kitorg bincangkan?? hmm..

hopefully, ade org yg bleh design la. Setakat neh, antara designer yg dicadangkan Saifuddin, Afif halim & Faris Fitri. Kalau ade designer among sisters mungkin lebih mantap. Din harap in 2 weeks time design da siap n bley la discuss which one would you all wish to put on your body. Supaya...ape2 program sem neh boley la pakai t-shirt ni beramai-ramai. Awesome ~

Bulan Ramadan da dekat kan? lebey kurang laa..so..dicadangkan utk wat aktiviti kat umah anak yatim. Ade 2 tempat. Either kat Marang or kat Kuantan je. Kalau kat Marang, maybe tido sane semalam plus iftar & sahur. Kalau kat Kuantan maybe tido kat mahallah je la (huhuh).. iftar ade la tapi. So..choose la mane korang suke.


Sports


Hmm...antara game yg slalu dibuat adlh futsal. Tapi cuba2 la hidupkan basketball. Not bad ape. Tiba2 je kuar lak game bowling time meeting. Hmm..bes gak. Great idea. Kalau futsal maybe akan booking court la. Minuman akan diusahakan. Basket lak..ade ke court utk disewa?? jawabnye kat uia je la. Sape cepat die dapat. Bowling lak? Kat megamall agak besar kan tmpt die. Ok je. Timbul permasalahan bile sisters umpama belom ade team for any of those game mentioned above. Jgn risau..sape berminat, join la. Okayh. =)




Makan dan makan lagi


Amin sudah memulakan jualan kerepek, roti dan gula2 (cming soon), and maybe mineral water bagi menstabilkan ekonomi kelas. Mungkin kalau ade permintaan utk melebarkan sayap ke mahallah sisters & kelas2 laen, apip bleh usahakan. "kan Apip..ko kan byk contact." hehe.





USM??


Hmm..budget kulliyyah x cukup. According to Dr. Razak, hanya 4 program utk sem ni saje that will be considered to receive the budget - Family day, Sleu, Ihya' Ramadan and...ape tah satu lg. lupe da. Jadi mungkin dapat buat pada awal cuti akhir sem neh. Tu pon kalau anda sanggup. Boleh kann...maseh~

Tiada Lagi Songkok di Konvokesyen UIAM

KUALA LUMPUR 24 Julai — Pemakaian songkok dan tudung khas oleh pelajar Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM) semasa majlis konvokesyen akan dihentikan dan diganti dengan topi mortar bermula 23 Ogos ini.

Timbalan Rektor di Bahagian Akademik dan Kajian, Prof. Datuk Dr. Tahir Azhar berkata, perubahan ini dibuat bagi menyeragamkan etika pemakaian konvokesyen pelajar di seluruh negara.

“Tambahan pula dengan perubahan ini kami tidak perlu lagi menjawab soalan-soalan berunsur skeptikal (was was) daripada sesetengah pihak,” katanya pada sidang akhbar di sini hari ini.

Beliau berkata dijangka seramai 4,112 pelajar akan mengenakan jubah dan topi mortar baru pada konvokesyen yang akan diadakan dari 23 hingga 25 Ogos ini.

Katanya warna jubah juga ditukar dari warna hijau firus (turquoise) kepada biru firus, dan mengubah corak songket yang sedia ada di bahagian lengan jubah dengan songket pucuk rebung yang lebih terserlah.

“Perbelanjaan untuk menyediakan jubah baru ini memakan belanja RM2.1 juta, tapi ia boleh dipakai untuk 20 hingga 30 tahun lamanya,” katanya. — BERNAMA

MARI MENYIMPAN...

Salam..ape khabar? harap sume sihat..sempena kemasukan duit scholar yg terlampau byk baru2 ni, tergerak hati sye utk mengajak kwn2 sume menyimpan dan menabung. Bkn ape, duit tu pun utk kegunaan mse dpn kita nnti. Jgnlah duit tu kite gunakn utk membeli barg2 yg x berfaedah @ digunakan di tmpt yang sia2..

Kat sni sye nk promote cara2 utk menyimpan..

1. Bersedekah-utk simpanan AKHIRAT.
2. Melalui simpanan takaful atau insurans.
3. Melalui pelaburan
4. Simpan je dalam bank.

Mungkin ade antara kita yang dh melakukan perkara2 di atas..Bagi yang belum atau x tau, ni lah masenye utk kita menyimpan terutamanya yang pertama(Bersedekah) dan kedua(Melalui simpanan takaful atau insurans). Mungkin ade yang menganggap simpanan dalam bank dan simpanan dalam takaful adalah sama. Tp, sebenarnye banyak kelebihan apabila kita simpan dalam takaful berbanding dgn menyimpan dalam bank. Sebagai contoh, dalam MAA Takaful, apabila kita meninggal dunia, syarikat MAA akan membayar RM7000 kepada waris sebagai upah untuk menunaikan haji bg pihak kita.

Sedappp....


NUGGET AYAM

Bahan-bahan
500 g isi ayam } dikisar/cincang
1/4 cawan fresh breadcrumbs
sedikit serbuk lada sulah
garam secukup rasa
serbuk cornflake secukupnya atau serbuk roti utk 'coating' (sekarang dh ade jual serbuk nuget)
(1-2 biji telur }dipukul sedikit

Cara membuat
1. Campurkan ayam bersama fresh breadcrumbs (yang bewarna putih), serbuk lada sulah dan garam.
2. Gaul sebati.
3. Ambil sedikit adunan bentukkan menjadi leper, ulang sehingga habis.
4. Kemudian celup ke dlm telur dan lepas itu digolek kedlm serbuk cornflake/roti. Di sini saya menggunakan breadcrumb warna kuning.
5. Ulang semula dgn mencelup ke dlm telur dan diakhiri dgn serbuk cornflake/roti supaya mendpt lapisan luar yg agak tebal. Yang ini saya gunakan breadcrumb warna kuning/oren.
6. Goreng dgn api perlahan sehingga kekuningan.
7. Sedia dimakan bersama sos.

Camping in a Dusun

Iflah Camp for Pharmacy Students
11-13th July 2008
Dusun Eco Resort, Bentong, Pahang
Organised by Student Learning Enhancement Unit (SLEU)


Assalamualaikum..hai everyone. I was called to tell you a story of our experience..err..(my experience could be more precise) throughout the iflah camp recently. Preparation? Naah..there’s not much thing to pack. Toiletries..some shirts and pants and a pair of shoes. Here’s the best part guys.

I told my friends, let me name him as R, “I think there’s no need to bring towel. Don’t u think so, R??”
He then replied, “what make u think so?How are we gonna take a bath??”
I said, “Hey..c’mon dude, it’s a resort.Juz call the housekeeping and they’ll bring it in for you.”

Therefore,we decided not to bring any. Upon arrival at about 7pm, we were brought up to the resort (on the hill) by a truck. I swear to God..it’s like a roller-coaster. So fast but really exciting though. We had a cup of tea and some kuih before praying. Only then we checked in. Can’t imagine..I was wrong. Instead of chalet with air-condition occupied by 2 persons per room built in with a toilet which provide 2 choices of hot and cold water, we were placed in a dorm. There’s no single chance to call a housekeeper. No phone at all. A quite horrible dorm with a capacity of 30 persons and double-decker beds. Just look at the pictures provided below exclusively for you.



































However, the so-so accommodation was covered by the interesting talks which also included songs, activities, useful handouts and delicious food. Ooo..speaking of which, we got to wash our own dishes. This is totally different from the iflah camp organised for allied health students last year. Ask your friends laa..senang cerite.

Woke up as early as 5.30 in the morning for subuh prayer was quite challenging. Standing under the shower poured with cold water was like get into a bathtub fulled with ice. Such a valuable experience hah..hehe.



The camp moved smoothly on the second day. Personality test was one of the interesting slots of all. In the evening, an outdoor games were held inside the hall cause there’s no space outside as other groups from nowhere (well..I don’t know) had already use the spots. It’s more to what so-called ‘sukaneka’. People got Cadbury choc if they win the challenge. Love it. Haha.. once again.


Later, we took pictures here and there inside the resort..adding the cool poses to personal collection. The next day, we had a short photography session under a hot sunlight together. Then, once again the trucks brought us down. All of a sudden, it rained while some of us still waiting for turn to get down the hill. Poor us..especially brothers who hold the ‘Ladies First’ policy.
As we’ve already downhill, brother’s bus failed to start the engine. We got stuck for almost an hour. Give a round of big applause to some of our batch representatives who lend a hand to help ‘pak cik bus’ in repairing process. At about 4pm, we left the resort area heading to Kuantan. Well, that’s all I got to share with u all. See ya!!

Classmate kita, Nurul Syazwani dah selamat menimang cahayamata. =) Alhamdulillah. Baby boy. Wani & baby sihat. Nama baby belum ada lagi. Wani bersalin 30 June 2008. Dia akan bercuti selama 1sem.. Sama2 doakan kesihatan wani dan baby dia.

Mahallah Baru Brothers

Ahh… Baru dapat online. Kat mahallah baru belum ada internet lagi. Huhuhu

Entri kali ini akan menceritakan perjalanan dari UIAM Kuantan ke Mahallah Talhah Brother. Ada 2 blok kat Campus Luar UIAM iaitu Talhah 8 & Talhah 9. Seramai 22 orang daripada brothers batch kita berada di kampus luar dan selebihnya memilih untuk menginap di rumah sewa.Semua pelajar farmasi brothers Year 2 0809 ditempatkan di Talhah 9 kecuali mereka yg berpindah ke rumah sewa.

Informasi ini amat berguna kepada mereka yang berhajat mahu datang ke kampus luar UIAM Kuantan yang terletak di Indera Mahkota 2. Jaraknya dari main gate UIA adalah lebih kurang 3km.

Ada selekoh. Jalan terus. Selekoh ke kiri adalah jalan shortcut ke Masjid Indera Mahkota@Stesen minyak Shell@kwsn perumahan manakala ke kanan menghala ke KWSP, Pejabat Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara & banyak lagi pejabat-pejabat kerajaan negeri.

Traffic Light. Jalan terus macam kita nak pergi ke Pasar Malam Indera Mahkota.

Kemudian akan jumpa selekoh ke kiri. Di sini, kawan-kawan ada 2 pilihan. Nak ke kiri(menghala ke tunas manja) pun boleh, terus pun boleh. Bagi saya, paling dekat adalah jalan terus.

Sekiranya memilih untuk jalan terus, tak sampai 100 meter kawan-kawan jumpa selekoh ke kiri (selekoh pertama selepas simpang 3 tadi). Amik selekoh kiri.


Jalan yang gelap pada waktu malam kerana tiada lampu jalan.

AWAS! Ada 2 bonggol di jalan ni.

Dah sampai. Senang je nak kenal, tengok pagar hijau yang ada 2 blok bangunan.

Fire extenguisher juga terdapat dalam bilik. UTAMAKAN KESELAMATAN. ;P


Dalam bilik mahallah baru, ada hall, bilik, bilik sidai baju dan tandas. Apa pendapat kwn2 semua?

Admin Kulliyyah of Pharmacy & Campus Director Baru UIAM Kuantan

Tahukah anda ramai barisan pentadbiran UIAM telah bertukar bermula hari ini, 1 Julai 2008 hingga 31 May 2009.
