The Doping Control Centre (DCC) is a service and research centre providing organic and inorganic analysis for various local and international authorities, research institutes and private companies requiring evidential and forensic testing for regulatory and research purposes.
Accreditation
Our reputation as a reliable testing laboratory has evolved from the experience of providing drug testing to the sport communities, fulfilling the standards and guidelines set then by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and later in 2004 by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). The centre is one of 34 laboratories worldwide that holds WADA accreditation, and one of only 5 laboratories in Asia with this credential.
DCC also holds ISO/IEC17025 accreditation from the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) for various scopes of testing. This credential has been in place continuously since 2001. A quality system, as outlined by the NATA standards, is considered essential in protecting both the client and the laboratory when enforcing the policies and proceeding within any adjudication process.
As an accredited laboratory, DCC conducts analysis according to the highest quality standards and guidelines for the conduct of a testing laboratory. To maintain these high standards, the staff is continually subjected to external audit for their technical proficiency and management competency; as an additional requirement, the laboratory participates in ongoing proficiency testing programmes that are offered by various recognised authorities and certified by NATA.
